Description
The FitExo is the follow-up exoskeleton device after Enhanced Robotic’s successful Sportsmate 5 crowdfunding campaign at the end of 2021 (Kickstarter: SPORTSMATE 5 Consumer Exoskeleton). At the time, the exoskeleton community was privately impressed with the capabilities of this powered hip exoskeleton to act as a fitness device that adds resistance or support directly at the hip joint.
Applying resistance directly at the human joint can be a revolutionary approach to training and fitness. The FitExo wearable robot is designed to read your body and move together with the user. The device then adjusts its resistance to work the glutes, legs, and core.
The FitExo is the world’s first powered exoskeleton for fitness to go on sale (Samsung was close to releasing a similar device at one point in time but as of May 2023 still hasn’t). The wearable is able to selectively provide assistance or resistance to the user all while collecting the exercise data for each move or stretch.
