The BES-UItra is a “whole-body drive exoskeleton” for research and development. In many ways, it is the big brother to the BES-Pro, which is also made by the Chinese exoskeleton producer ULS Robotics.


The BES-Ultra is a hip-knee and shoulder-support powered exoskeleton that serves as a research platform for developers. It is built for education & teaching, research, medical research, and rehabilitation training. The system includes an API SDK Software package for pattern and gait customization. The onboard sensors include the ability to map out plantar pressure (where weight is distributed on foot). It includes 6 active/motorized and 10 passive degrees of freedom.

  • Battery life: 3 to 4 hours

  • 32-channel plantar pressure data
