Harmony SHR

Harmony SHR is a bilateral (can actuate both arms simultaneously) fixed frame (installed in place) upper body rehabilitation exoskeleton. It is meant to work with the user’s scapulohumeral rhythm (SHR), or a measure of the normal shoulder movement. Robotic rehabilitation devices of this type benefit from being able to reproduce the exact same movement path repeatedly.

Description

The Harmony SHR is designed to assist and compensate for gravity in the shoulders of people with neurological and musculoskeletal movement impairments. The shoulder is the most complicated joint in the human body. In engineering, it is simplified to no less than five separate degrees of motion. The Harmony SHR can reproduce up to 85% of the shoulder’s natural range of motion.

Combining the repetition, price reproducibility, and persistence of a robotic, this wearable aims to improve the range of motion and strength of the shoulder and arm for patients who can use it. It is not meant to replace but amplify existing physical therapy protocols.

Exoskeleton Report does not endorse one exoskeleton product over another. The exoskeleton catalog is purely for educational purposes. It is meant to provide an easily accessible bird’ s-eye view of the exoskeleton industry and a quick method to sort exoskeletons by type and purpose. All prices are approximate and are meant to provide a general sense of the cost of the devices.
