EXOVITI

The EXOVITI is a passive/eslastic lower-body exoskeleton developed by the French company RB3D. RB3D specializes in cobots and exoskeletons, including powered wearable robots like the Hercule. The company defines cobots as mechanical and robotic devices interacting with workers repeatedly throughout the workday.

Description

The EXOVITI builds on the technology of the discontinued Hercule V3 by RB3D. The EXOVITI is a passive that relies on elastic elements energized by the user lower-back support exoskeleton meant to unburden workers from heavy loads (among other possible applications).

The EXOVITI is made in France and has more than 150 field tests to date. It is meant to be a lightweight wearable solution that minimizes any discomfort or heat retention. It comes with an easy ON/OFF switch to disable any walking restriction.

The spring force is adjustable on the fly to four presets ranging from 0 to 20 kg (44 lb) of assistive force.

Specifications:

  • Device weight: 2.2 kg (4.8 lb)
  • One size fits all; ideal for men and women between 150 to 195 cm in height (4′ 11″ to 6′ 4″)
