Ascentiz

(7 customer reviews)

The Ascentiz Modular Exoskeleton is a powered, modular lower-limb exoskeleton system built around an “Exo-Belt” power hub and swappable hip-only and knee-only assist modules. It is positioned for consumer/outdoor mobility augmentation (e.g., hiking, running, commuting), with the principal value being configurable assistance depending on whether the user prioritizes propulsion (hip) or joint support/endurance (knee).

Description

Ascentiz is a belt-based powered exoskeleton platform that uses interchangeable modules: a H (hip) module and a K (knee) module, which are swapped to match the planned activity (installed and used one at a time). Control is described via “AI MotionEngine” motion recognition and a companion app with modes such as Ease/ACC/Train. The Ascentiz began as one of the most successful exoskeleton Kickstarter.com campaigns, raising almost $2.5M in backing.

Specifications:

Reported performance varies by model and “trim,” and at the end of 2025, is described as:

  • hip module:
    • 36 Nm peak torque,
    • up to 28 km/h (17.4 mph) assisted speed,
    • and about 20 km (12.4 mi) range per charge (up to 40 km (24.9 mi) with dual batteries),
  • knee module:
    • 48 Nm peak torque,
    • up to 7.2 km/h (4.5 mph) assisted speed,
    • and about 25 km (15.5 mi) range per charge.

The system is described as IP54 and roughly 1.75–2.25 kg (3.85–4.96 lb) without battery, depending on module/version; one third-party writeup also cites ~78 Wh battery capacity and 1.8–2.0 kg (3.9–4.4 lb) weight without battery for hip vs knee configurations.

Best used for: hiking, walking, jogging/running, commuting; knee support for long treks

Fit guidance reported as height 155–200 cm (61.0–78.7 in) and waist 65–145 cm (25.6–57.1 in); additional leg circumference ranges are also published on the main website.

Of note, Ascentiz did not materialize out of thin air, but as RoboCT’s consumer-facing brand (or a tightly integrated sub-brand).

Have not received the product. No contact from the customer support

    • Bobby Marinov

Thank you Lisa for sharing your experience. Neither ExR nor I are affilitated with Ascentiz. They did have a sizable booth at CES 2026 Las Vegas so the company, I believe, is active. I hope that you reach a resolution soon.

  2. MR JONATHAN WEST

Paid back in December, still no product and ascentiz is ignoring messages and emails so appalling customer service. I’ve contacted my bank and reported the transaction as fraudulent.

  3. Yellow

    just tried, it works good

Consider other brands that are already on the market. Who knows when they will actually ship them. Judging by how they treated their initial backers, I wondered how their customer service would fare.

  5. William Lipman

Paid for one in March, 2026. Told in April it was shipped. Never got it. Ignores my inquiries.

WARNING: DO NOT BUY — BACKER #2610 STILL WAITING SINCE APRIL 2026I backed this project on Kickstarter in April 2026 — H+K Ultra bundle, Late Pledge Backer #2610. I am writing this review from Canada because no one should go through what I have experienced.THE FACTS:In July 2026, Ascentiz asked me to choose between receiving the H module separately or waiting for the full bundle. I replied twice. No response. Complete silence. Then in August 2026, I discovered they are now selling the H Series directly on their website with 3-15 day delivery for any new customer. Meanwhile, I — a Kickstarter backer who helped fund this company from the very beginning — still have no tracking number, no shipping confirmation, and no delivery date.THE KAREN PROBLEM:When I finally got a response from their support team, it came from someone named ‘Karen.’ In North American culture, we all know what a Karen is. And sure enough — it was a copy-paste non-answer that addressed none of my three specific questions. The same automated response was sent to me TWICE within 4 seconds. That is not a human being. That is an AI dismissing backers.THE LEGAL SITUATION:I have now sent formal demand letters (mise en demeure) to both Ascentiz and Kickstarter, citing the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002. I am a Canadian consumer. Canadian law applies regardless of where Ascentiz is headquartered. If I do not receive a tracking number, I am initiating a chargeback AND pursuing legal action, including a potential class action on behalf of all Canadian backers in the same situation.TO OTHER BACKERS READING THIS:Check the Kickstarter comments section. We are many. You are not alone. This is a pattern, not a coincidence.A company that prioritizes new paying customers over the backers who made it possible in the first place has its values completely backwards. I funded your dream. You owe me delivery — not an AI named Karen.Yanick Boyer — Backer #2610 — Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada

I rarely post negative experiences about companies, but after what I have experienced with Ascentiz, I think prospective buyers should know what happened before spending this kind of money.

I purchased an Ascentiz H Ultra for $1,747.90 on July 30. It was intended for my mother, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and I chose the H Ultra hoping it would help with her mobility.

The unit arrived on August 11, but my order was incomplete.

The H Ultra is sold as coming with two batteries. I received only one. Accessories that I separately purchased and paid for were also not delivered.

I contacted Ascentiz on August 14 because I had international travel approaching and urgently needed the missing items. On August 17, I was told that the outstanding items had not even arrived at their warehouse and were expected around the end of the month.

That was the point where I lost confidence.

With a product this expensive, you are not only buying the hardware. You are relying on the company for batteries, accessories, replacement parts, warranty assistance, and after-sales support. If completing my brand-new order was already this difficult, I was uncomfortable relying on the company for future support.

On August 18, only seven days after receiving it, I requested a return and full refund.

The important part is this: I never opened the H Ultra. I never used it. The package remains sealed in its original packaging.

Despite the incomplete order and unopened product, Ascentiz told me it intended to deduct a 10% handling/restocking fee from my refund.

Even more frustratingly, on August 21, Ascentiz acknowledged my confirmation that the package remained completely unopened and unused and told me that its logistics team had been asked to provide the return authorization and shipping label.

Today is August 31. Ten days later, I still have neither.

So I have an unopened $1,747.90 product sitting in its original packaging, I requested the return within their advertised return period, I am completely willing to send it back, yet I still cannot complete the return because I have not been provided the return authorization and label they said they were arranging.

Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend purchasing an Ascentiz H Ultra, particularly if after-sales support, replacement parts, batteries, or the ability to return the product are important to you.

The product itself may be good. I cannot comment on that because I deliberately never opened or used mine. My warning is about the purchasing, fulfillment, and customer-service experience. For a product at this price, I expected much better.

If Ascentiz resolves the matter fairly, I will update this post accordingly. But until then, I would strongly advise prospective buyers to consider the after-sales experience, not just the specifications of the product, before purchasing.

If anyone else has dealt with Ascentiz, especially for a return, warranty claim, replacement battery, or after-sales support, I would be interested to hear how your experience went.
