Description
The inoGear HE-1 uses INOMER’s wire-actuator mechanism to apply targeted force around the pelvis and hip without fixing the joint axis. During the stance phase, it combines interactions that support the pelvis from behind with forces that guide the lower limb backward, while allowing intervention timing to be adjusted via button operation.
INOMER positions inoGear HE-1 as a way to improve the reproducibility of therapist handling, share and adjust assistance conditions, reduce variation between caregivers, evaluate gait indicators, and assess caregiver burden. The company also highlights potential organizational uses, such as therapist training, knowledge sharing, reducing person-dependent rehabilitation workflows, and future data utilization.
This is not a classical hip-actuation-powered exoskeleton but a physical rehabilitation tool that provides a powerful tactile sensation that mimics rehabilitation techniques, with the added consistency of a wearable robot.
