Description
The EASE Exoskeleton is an industrial assistive exoskeleton developed for manual workplaces where human flexibility remains important, especially in logistics and production. The device supports the arms and torso/back: it actively assists arm movement during lifting, holding, and lowering, while also providing passive lower-back support in bent postures. This is a powered, battery-supplied, electrically driven, and built as a combination of stiff and textile exoskeleton elements.
EASE describes the system as lightweight, flexible, and intuitive, with a design intended to preserve freedom of movement. Additional reported characteristics include AI-supported intention recognition, real-time movement support, an IoT interface, and a backpack-like architecture using motor-driven cables along the arms.
