Description
Reflex is the Assistive Technology Development (ATDev) company’s flagship medical rehabilitation device and is positioned for orthopedic knee recovery. It is engineered to support remote monitoring of exercise adherence, range of motion, strength, and recovery progress, and it includes guided exercises with adaptive difficulty, remote exercise adjustments, and simple progress tracking, all while sitting in place.
ATDev envisions Reflex as part of its at-home rehabilitation offering. The company states that the device weighs less than 2.3 kg (5 lb), uses an on-board user interface to improve accessibility, is FDA Listed, and may be eligible for insurance coverage, with payment and coverage discussions handled directly through ATDev.
Personal take:
ATDev was an exhibitor at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, where I met team members and examined the device up close. While I didn’t get to try it on, I was happy to see a “fixed-frame” or exoskeleton-like device designed for use with the user staying in the same place. This reduces complexity and requirements, allowing the equipment to focus on a single task (in this case, mobilizing the knee).
