Description
PowrKnee by Yrobot is a consumer-oriented family of powered knee exoskeletons for walking, hiking, stairs, and other everyday and outdoor activities. The wearable system combines two knee-support assemblies with fastening straps and a waist attachment. Yrobot describes adaptive assistance that responds to the wearer’s movement, as well as resistance-based exercise.
Key Features:
- Body area: Powered assistance at the knees.
- Activities: Walking, hiking, climbing, help with descending and ascending stairs, and/or resistance exercise.
- Adjustment: Wearable leg supports with fastening straps and waist suspension.
- Movement: The manufacturer lists a knee range of motion of 135° for both current variants.
Models:
The current official store lists PowrKnee X and PowrKnee X Plus. The manufacturer’s comparison identifies nylon and magnesium-alloy construction for X, and carbon fiber, magnesium alloy, and titanium for X Plus. It lists regenerative energy harvesting and GPS for X Plus, but not X.

ExR’s Hands-On Experience:
Bobby Marinov briefly tried Yrobot’s device at CES. This was a brief hands-on experience, not a long-term test or verification of manufacturer performance claims.
