Description
The ExyONE Back Lite is a soft, mechanical wearable device developed by Exy for industrial workers performing repetitive bending, lifting, or load-handling activities. Exy describes it as a back-assist device for reducing effort during flexion of the spine or legs, and notes that it is not classified as PPE.
The system is made primarily from fabric with polyester and plastic components, weighs 0.88 kg (1.94 lb), and does not require batteries or external electrical power. The device uses elastic straps crossing the user’s back to store and return energy during bending, with two stated assistance settings of 176 N (40 lbf) and 275 N (62 lbf), based on Exy’s 18 kgf and 28 kgf “relief” configurations. It is offered in P/M and M/G sizes for users from 1.50 m (4 ft 11 in) in height, with features such as machine-washable construction, quick-release fixation points, interchangeable user-contact parts, and optional antibacterial material based on the AATCC-147 protocol. The offical product page states that effort reduction in load handling can reach up to 50% for loads up to 25 kg (55 lb).
Exy also lists the ExyONE BIO-EXO as a version based on the ExyONE Back, developed through a partnership between IDESAM, Exy Solutions, and Venture Hub for family agriculture and extractive activities in the Amazon region. The BioExo variant is described as a passive, fabric-based back-support device made with jute fiber with similar capabilities and statistics: weighs 0.88 kg (1.94 lb), requires no batteries or electricity, is offered in P/M and M/G sizes for users from 1.50 m (4 ft 11 in), and includes two stated assistance levels of 176 N (40 lbf) and 275 N (62 lbf), corresponding to Exy’s 18 kgf and 28 kgf relief settings. Exy states that the device is not PPE and claims effort reduction in load handling can reach up to 50% for loads up to 25 kg (55 lb).
