PHES7

Metal Waist (Back) / PHES7 is a passive industrial waist-assist exoskeleton from Hyetone for workers who perform prolonged bending, lifting, and material-handling tasks. It uses a spring-based energy-storage mechanism to support the lower back during forward-flexed postures and to assist the user when returning to an upright position or lifting objects.

Description

Metal Waist (Back) / PHES7 is a structured waist and back support exoskeleton intended for industrial handling and other work that requires sustained bending or repeated lifting. The device maintains support through a spring mechanism while the wearer is bent forward, and the stored elastic energy assists upward movement when the wearer straightens the waist or lifts a load. Hyetone lists the device for objects up to 30 kg (66 lb), users weighing 40–80 kg (88–176 lb), and users 1.55–1.85 m (5 ft 1 in–6 ft 1 in) tall.

The device includes wide shoulder straps, adjustable anti-slip buckles, breathable/waterproof/wear-resistant packing materials, leg straps, and a switchable energy-storage function that can be turned off when assistance is not needed. The product page lists a maximum assistance of 196 N (44 lbf; source: 20 kgf), a device weight of 3.5 kg (7.7 lb), and a service life of 2 years with a 1-year warranty.
