Description
ArmeoSpring Pro is a clinical upper-limb rehabilitation device developed by Hocoma AG for guided arm and hand therapy. The system consists of a passive, instrumented arm orthosis with an adjustable spring mechanism that supports the patient’s arm and measures movement during functional exercises. It is designed to train the movement chain from the shoulder to the hand and can be adapted by therapists for selective joint movement, range-of-motion work, strength training, and coordinated upper-limb practice.
The device is intended for the rehabilitation of patients with mild to moderate impairments in upper-limb function and is positioned for both pediatric and adult users. ArmeoSpring Pro uses Hocoma’s TrueG arm weight support technology to provide continuous support across shoulder movement, and its therapy software presents virtual-reality and Augmented Performance Feedback exercises on a computer screen. Optional components include the ManovoSpring hand module for assisted hand opening and the Armeo Support Harness to limit compensatory trunk movement during therapy.
Weight of Device: Approximately 124 kg (273 lb)
