Description
The WIBS is a light, passive occupational exoskeleton that weighs 1.5 kg (3.3 lb). This exosuit has a small footprint and is meant to allow workers to sit or squat without having to remove it. The WIBS comes with integrated posture recognition sensors that collect tilt angle information on the upper body and can upload it to a smartphone.
This wearable has a three-stage spring that can provide 11 kg, 21 kg, or 32 kg of assistive force. Unfortunately, it is limited to workers who are 155 cm to 185 cm (5’1″ to 6’1″) in height. It is made of appropriate materials for indoor and outdoor use.
