StepUp NEO Passive Shoulder is a passive shoulder-support wearable robot developed by FRT Robotics for workers performing overhead or arm-elevated tasks. The product page lists a passive battery-free design, a 3.0 kg (6.6 lb) device weight, IP54 ingress protection, and a user size range of 1.50–1.90 m (4 ft 11 in–6 ft 3 in).
The device uses a multi-degree-of-freedom shoulder-joint design intended to preserve the user’s natural shoulder range of motion. FRT also lists adjustable assistance based on work intensity, foldable arms for storage and transport, and reported reductions of 45% in muscle fatigue and 30% in muscle use.
