The MAPS-E Upper Limb Exoskeleton Robot is a powered shoulder support wearable produced by ULS Robotics.

Description

The MAPS-E is a powered shoulder support exoskeleton for work and industry. It is best used for repetitive tasks at or above chest level. The device should be used in factories, patient handling, construction, and logistics. It is meant to offload and safeguard the shoulders and arms.

Specifications:

  • Up to 50% burden reduction or the equivalent of 20 kg of maximum boost
  • 6.5 kg (14.3 lb) total weight
  • Ideal ambient temperature: -20° C to 50° C (-4 F to 122 F)
  • Battery life: 5 to 8 hours
  • Two active and two passive degrees of motion
  • Made out of plastics, aerospace aluminum alloys, and carbon fiber
  • 36V Lithium-ion battery
