Keeogo

The Keeogo™ is a lower body, powered knee exoskeleton, or dermoskeleton.  This is a powered knee only exoskeleton designed for walking assistance.  The device is built for individuals who have trouble climbing stairs and lack endurance while walking.

The Keeogo is less expensive than most gait rehabilitation exoskeletons.

Description

The Keeogo is made by the Canadian developer B-Temia.  Its target audience is people who have limited walking endurance or mobility, struggle while climbing stairs or have trouble carrying objects.  It is even designed to be used by people who simply have a hard time standing for long periods of time.

The Keeogo is marketed for those suffering from hip osteoarthritis, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease, to help them walk more and with less effort.

The device’s adjustable motorized power at the knees is meant to complement the user’s own muscle strength.  This wearable robot also sports a unique strap system that differs significantly from other exoskeletons on the market.  While this is an assistive exoskeleton, there is a version for able-bodied users where the device is instead used for augmentation.
