Holdupper

The Holdupper is a gas spring-actuated, passive shoulder-support exoskeleton by ExoMed. It is ideal for assisting workers with repetitive tasks that require overhead work or continuous arm extension.

Description

The Holdupper is designed to unload the upper limbs, shoulders, and spine to reduce work injuries and MSDs. Applied for the right task and fitted correctly, it can reduce muscle fatigue by up to 60%. It enables employees to work safely while preserving natural human mobility and decision-making in the process.

This passive exo weighs 4.8 kg (10.6 lb) and can provide up to 8 kg of support in each arm (17.6 lb). It is best suited for users who are 1.6 to 1.9 meters (5’3″ to 6’3″) in height.

On request, the Holdupper also comes with fire, oil, and anti-corrosion-proof materials.
