Description
ExoRehab X is a medical rehabilitation platform designed to support continued upper-extremity recovery at home and across care settings after stroke or TBI. The current HoustonBionics product page emphasizes focused distal upper-extremity training, including wrist flexion/extension, wrist radial/ulnar deviation, and forearm pronation/supination, with movements initiated by the patient and assistance provided only as needed.
The system is intended to complement clinician-guided care rather than replace therapy. It uses interactive, game-like activities and built-in sensing to encourage high-repetition practice, track consistency and improvement, and provide progress indicators for patients and clinicians. HoustonBionics states that ExoRehab X is designed for home use and is typically accessed through a clinician or healthcare provider.
Supports high-repetition upper-extremity training; patient-initiated movement; assistance-as-needed; resistance-based joint challenge; game-like interactive training; built-in sensors for performance tracking; progress indicators for patients and clinicians.
