Ekso Bionics is one of the first pioneers of the commercialization of exoskeleton technology, and it is one of the few companies with experience in military, industrial, and medical exoskeleton development. The company develops and markets wearable robotic and assistive technologies primarily for rehabilitation, personal mobility, and occupational support.
Ekso also serves as the exclusive authorized U.S. sales agent and distributor for MediTouch’s BalanceTutor rehabilitation system, which is not an exoskeleton but is complementary to gait and balance rehabilitation.
Ekso was formerly Berkeley Bionics and has a long history of exoskeleton development, including earlier systems such as HULC, eLEGS, EksoGT, and EksoVest. As of May 2026, the former public company Ekso Bionics Holdings, Inc. changed its name to ChronoScale Corporation following a transaction with Applied Digital; the legacy Ekso exoskeleton business continues to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ChronoScale.
Formerly Berkeley Bionics. It was originally traded with a public ticker EKSO; as of May 2026, the public company became ChronoScale Corporation / NASDAQ: CHRN, with the Ekso exoskeleton business continuing as a wholly owned subsidiary.
