Agadexo Lowback is developed by Agade as a workplace exoskeleton for manual material-handling scenarios where workers frequently lift and lower heavy loads. The system is described as “semi-active” and AI-enhanced, adapting its lower-back support in response to the user’s movements and activating only when needed.

On the product page, Agade emphasizes three core elements: adaptive assistance that recognizes lifting and lowering and adjusts support force up to 50 Nm (36.9 lb-ft); a modular structure intended to enable fast donning/doffing and a decoupling mechanism for intermittent lifting; and “IoT 4.0 connectivity” using LTE communication for data collection and exchange via a dedicated platform.

Personal Take:

The Agade team was at CES 2026, but unfortunately, I missed my chance to try out the Agadexo Lowback by just a few minutes. This new entry takes the best of passive and active exoskeletons by using springs and elastic elements for raw power, while manipulating their behavior with electrical components (motors, clutches, etc.). The spring assets on thigh braces are modular and can pop off the exoskeleton to reduce its form profile and make it easier to sit for longer periods.
