Webinar: ASSP Ergonomics Practice Specialty

The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) is hosting a webinar with Matthew (Matt) Marino this January 15th. The official title is ASSP Ergonomics Practice Specialty: “Exoskeletons in Rehabilitation!” The main topics of the webinar will be:

Objectives:

• Learn how medical exoskeletons help people with rehabilitation after experiencing certain types of injuries, illnesses, and disabilities.
• Learn about the different types of exoskeletons available on the market today, the conditions they are intended to treat or assist, and their potential applications for rehabilitation and return to work (RTW).
• Review the ASTM Standard Practice for Using Exoskeletons for Return to Work and the process published by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries Exoskeleton Advisory Committee that led to this standard’s development.
• Discover how exoskeletons can be used by injured workers during the modified/transitional duty period to support and healing, recovery, and full duty return to work following work related injuries.
