BioRob 2024 Workshop: Accelerating Wearable Robotics
September 1, 2024
IEEE RAS EMBS 10th International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (BioRob 2024), will include a series of workshops before the conference start, including one on exoskeleton technology. Workshop 30/34 Accelerating Wearable Robotics: Advancements in Mechatronic Prostheses and Exoskeletons and Rapid Control Prototyping to be held September 1st.
Confirmed Speakers:
- Professor Tommaso Lenzi
- Professor Michael Goldfar
- Professor Robert Gregg
- Professor Massimo Sartori
- Professor Elliot J. Rouse
- Professor Hugh Herr
This workshop recognizes that exoskeletons and wearable robotics is a highly multi-disciplinary field. Expect discussions of exos and mechatronic prostheses focusing on scientific advancements and clinical and industrial use. Topics will include the latest advancements in:
- mechatronic design
- rapid control prototyping
- sensory feedback
The workshop will be divided into two sections. In the morning, one will emphasize research on lower limb prosthetics. The afternoon section will center around rapid control prototyping in prostheses and exoskeletons. Audience participation during and after presentations will be encouraged.
