27th Applied Ergonomics Conference 2024

March 25 - March 28

$1860
27 applied ergonomics conference 2024

The 27th Applied Ergonomics Conference will be held this March 25-28, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky. This is not a a conference that is solely dedicated to exoskeletons and wearable robotics, however, there are some developers expected to present.

Furthermore, this year’s conference keynote speaker will feature Marty Smets, Technical Expert, Corporate & UAW Ergonomics
Ford Motor Co., who is an expert at occupational exoskeleton adoption, though his keynote speech will likely only touch on exo technology.

There will be other exoskeleton presentations, including one by Marisol Barrero, who is a board member and founder of the Automotive Exoskeleton Group (AExG) and the Director of Safety Applications for the Wearable Robotics Association (WearRA).

For schedule and registration visit: https://www.iise.org/AEC/default.aspx

Two years ago, the conference also held a workshop on industrial exoskeletons. It included an overview of the state of the art of exoskeleton technology for industrial and occupational applications followed up by exoskeleton implementation best practices and examples on the organizational level. Matthew Marino will lead attendees through an exercise on creating their very own exoskeleton implementation plan. While this year’s Applied Ergonomic Conference does not include an exoskeleton workshop, it demonstrates their history and commitment to introducing exo technology to the professional ergonomist community.
