About: The December Committee Week will feature the 14th general meeting of ASTM Committee F48 on Exoskeletons and Exosuits, formed to develop consensus standards for exoskeletons and exosuits. This committee addresses safety, quality, performance, ergonomics, and terminology throughout the product’s life cycle, covering various applications from industrial to consumer, passive to active systems, and physical to cognitive integration.

Subcommittees: F48 boasts six technical subcommittees working on standards.

Frequency: The entire Committee meets biannually, spanning 2 to 3 days of technical discussions, while subcommittees and technical groups work separately.
