Elastic Waist / PHES1 is a soft passive harness exoskeleton suit for industrial workers who frequently bend forward or perform waist-intensive handling tasks. Hyetone states that the device reduces average pressure and torque at the L5/S1 intervertebral disc area by 50%, with adjustable shoulder, waist, and chest straps to fit different users.

The device is lighter and softer than the Metal Waist / PHES7, with flexible breathable materials intended to avoid scratching workers or surrounding objects during work. Hyetone lists maximum back and waist assistance of 98 N (22 lbf; source: 10 kgf), device weight of 1.1 kg (2.4 lb), user weight of 40–80 kg (88–176 lb), user height of 1.55–1.85 m (5 ft 1 in–6 ft 1 in), and a service life of 2 years with a 1-year warranty.
