WIRED: We Strapped on Exoskeletons and Raced. There’s One Clear Winner

ExR’s Take: This is the first major tech network to pit exoskeleton devices head-to-head in a friendly competition. We are now entering a new age of this technology, where the field is finally mature enough to understand, compare, and contrast exos.


Exoskeleton tourism is officially here. Karl Zelik flagged a new listing on GetYourGuide: a 2.5-hour “Exoskeleton Robotics Powered City Walk” in Budapest that uses an electric Hypershell exoskeleton to make climbing city hills feel noticeably easier. It’s a small-group experience run by E-Magine Rides Budapest and includes a fitting/safety briefing, as well as photos taken by the guide.
