Samsung Patents an AI System That Tells Your Exoskeleton How Hard to Push You

Published September 24, 2026, Samsung’s U.S. patent application US20260284465A1 describes AI that tailors exoskeleton assistance or resistance to exercise goals. A neural network predicts how torque settings affect heart rate, walking speed, or stride length to select torque strength and timing. The May 2026 U.S. filing continues a December 2024 international application based on two Korean filings from February and April 2024.

Are exoskeletons gamechangers or gimmicks in the Himalaya?

ExR’s Perspective: Climbers of Mt. Everest have used technology such as oxygen tanks (and sherpa to carry it) for years. Exoskeletons are just another new tool to help climbers and the government has to decide how to regulate it… Nepal Times

Santos FC to Evaluate Consumer Exoskeletons for Football Training and Recovery

Brazilian football club Santos FC has received seven Hypershell exoskeletons, including the X Ultra S, for evaluation at its CT Rei Pelé training center. Following technical training, the club’s health and performance staff will explore assistance and resistance for strength and endurance training, post-match recovery, load management, and gradual return to activity. The initiative brings consumer exoskeleton technology into a professional sports setting, although the announcement does not yet report performance or recovery results. Yahoo Sports

Hypershell Exoskeleton tips No: 8

ExR’s Perspective: Exoskeleton technology doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and not all wearables will fit people equally. What technologies and peripherals are a good match with exo technology? A truly wonderful episode that highlights harnesses, socks, knee and ankle supports that work well with a powered hip exo. YouTube – Andrew Haigh

Soft Hip Exosuit Helps Older Adults Stand Up and Walk More Efficiently

Researchers at the Technical University of Munich and Heidelberg University have evaluated a soft, tendon-driven hip exosuit that assists both rising from a chair and walking. In a feasibility study enrolling 10 adults aged 69–85, activating assistance increased one-minute sit-to-stand performance by an average of 1.8 repetitions and reduced walking energy cost per distance by 13.6%, compared with wearing the suit with assistance disabled. Participants also reported feeling in control of their movements, although larger, longer-term studies are needed to establish benefits beyond the laboratory.

South Korean Police Raid Cosmo Robotics Over Alleged KRW 3.5B Pre-IPO Revenue Inflation

ExR’s Understanding of the developing situation: South Korean police searched exoskeleton manufacturer Cosmo Robotics’ Seoul office on September 29, 2026, while investigating allegations that it overstated 2025 revenue by approximately KRW 3.5 billion ahead of its May KOSDAQ listing. The questioned amount represents roughly 40% of its reported annual consolidated revenue and includes rehabilitation-robot sales and transactions involving a European subsidiary. Cosmo Robotics denies the allegations, maintains that the revenue was legitimate, and says it is cooperating with investigators; the allegations remain unproven. – For detailed coverage, visit the Exoskeleton Index
