KineteK – Wearable Robotics
Short Business Description
The company focuses on medical rehabilitation and training devices for the arms as well as a newer division for occupational exoskeletons.
More Information

Wearable Robotics® was founded as a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and builds on research from the PERCRO laboratory in wearable robotics, exoskeletons, and virtual reality. The company develops wearable robotic devices for medical rehabilitation, movement assistance, and industrial applications. Its Nexum® biomedical division offers active and passive upper-limb rehabilitation solutions, including ALEx RS and ALEx S. In 2026, Wearable Robotics announced a €5 million Series A round to support international expansion, product development, regulatory processes, and commercial growth.

In 2026, the official site presents the company as Wearable Robotics®, while the medical/biomedical division is presented as Nexum® / Nexum Robotics®, with the “KineteK” brand no longer being used as the current public brand on the official pages. Wearable Robotics now describes activity in both medical and industrial wearable robotics, and its story page describes Nexum Medical/Biomedical for neuro-motor rehabilitation, plus an industrial division for load-handling exoskeletons.

Wearable Robotics® also has an industrial division, NEXUM Industry, focused on exoskeleton devices for manual load handling. In 2024, the company reported unveiling the LBE30 exoskeleton at SPS Italia with Wittenstein, but in 2026 there does not appear to be a dedicated public product/shop/demo page for the device at this time, so it was not included in the ExR catalog of exoskeleton devices in the large 2026 update.
