FREE Bionics is a spin-off from ITRI Taiwan (Industrial Technology Research Institute, the national leading institute which developing robotic technology). Â This is the "first independent company in Taiwan developing powered exoskeletons, exo-suits and bionic technology products."
Even though FREE Bionics is a relatively young company at the start of 2020 it already had offices in Japan and mainland China in addition to Taiwan, while the FREE Walk is in testing/use in multiple countries in E.U.
