Digity was founded in 2023 as a spin-off of the University Medical Centre Göttingen and is based in Göttingen, Germany. The company develops wearable hand technologies for occupational safety and ergonomics, with ARTUS positioned as its first product: a passive finger exoskeleton/PPE solution for workers in demanding manual environments.
ARTUS uses rigid, freely movable finger-exoskeleton structures to redistribute forces and stabilize finger joints while preserving practical hand use. Digity also describes a broader wearable platform for capturing high-fidelity data on hands, wrists, touch, IMUs, and scenes for robotics imitation learning and dexterity transfer applications.
