Save the date for RehabWeek 2027, taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from May 31 to June 4, 2027.
Under the theme “Back to the Roots,” RehabWeek will return to Switzerland, where the inaugural event was held in Zurich in 2011. Sixteen years later, the international rehabilitation technology community will reunite in one of Europe’s leading environments for scientific research, healthcare, engineering, and technological innovation.
RehabWeek brings multiple rehabilitation technology societies and their scientific meetings together at the same time and place. Participants can attend society-specific programming while also taking part in shared RehabWeek activities, helping create interdisciplinary connections among rehabilitation robotics, medical exoskeletons, functional electrical stimulation, virtual rehabilitation, neurotechnology, digital rehabilitation, and clinical practice.
During the first four days in Lausanne, the scientific program is expected to feature keynote lectures, society sessions, interactive presentations, workshops, roundtables, poster sessions, and networking opportunities. Researchers, clinicians, engineers, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and technology developers will be able to exchange knowledge, examine emerging rehabilitation technologies, and build collaborations across traditional professional and scientific boundaries.
The final day will extend RehabWeek beyond the main congress program through organized visits to rehabilitation clinics, research laboratories, and innovative companies across Switzerland. These visits are intended to give participants direct insight into the country’s rehabilitation technology ecosystem, including applied research, clinical implementation, education, and technology translation. The inclusion of clinic and laboratory visits on the concluding day is part of the established RehabWeek organizational model.
