This is a tremor suppression and stabilization exoskeleton.  It is meant to be cost effective and affordable.  The bulk of the device is 3D printed and therefore highly customizable.


Public Affordable Upper Limb Exoskeleton – PAULE (working name, subject to change).

This is an exoskeleton designed to reduce tremors in the hand.  As the hand begins to shake, the motors in the elbow and wrist provide equal but opposite force to stabilize the hand.   Years of research have shown that this is achievable and can be beneficial to the user.  However, research exoskeletons are bulky and expensive.

PAULE aims to be a practical and affordable wearable robotics device for tremor suppression.  Because the frame is 3D printed it can be customized for each user.  Normally, exoskeleton customization and integration to the frame is a long and expensive process, so making everything 3D printed is a valid cost reduction strategy.

This exoskeleton is meant to be used with the elderly, but the company is also exploring applications for the younger generations by integrating the PAULE to a gaming system.
