DESCRIPTION:Attention Spanish innovators and creators: The Gogoa Prize 2024 MedTech Design Challenge registration deadline is May 30th\, 2024! \nWho can participate:\nThis friendly competition is open to students of any discipline of Engineering and Technology who are pursuing a Bachelor’s\, Master’s\, or Postgraduate studies from 2023-2024. The competition is focused on Spain\, but it doesn’t hurt to reach out to the organizers and confirm language and regional guidelines and limitations. You can participate individually or in teams of up to 4 people. \nThe challenge:\nDesign of an exoskeleton to assist the motor skills of the elderly. Do you think medical exoskeletons are too expensive or too slow? How would you approach them? For example\, we (ExR) have seen companies like Seismic use coiled ropes to bypass the need for transmission to transform high-speed low-torque rotation to low-speed high-torque linear movement\, which is not too different from a Roman catapult.
