SUMMARY:EUROBENCH 2022 SUMMIT
DESCRIPTION:The EU-funded EUROBENCH project will host a “EUROBENCH Final Even” this June 21-22\, 2022 in Madrid\, Spain. The summit will have a digital component through YouTube: \n\nEUROBENCH Summit Tuesday 21\, June 2022: Link to YouTube\nEUROBENCH Summit Tuesday 22\, June 2022: Link to YouTube\n\nThe online component of the summit will be free to access. EUROBENCH is working to create a benchmarking framework for robotic systems in Europe\, including exoskeletons. The summit will bring together all the involved entities and many companies and researchers involved with the project. \nAgenda:\nThere are a total of 17 talks planned for this event. The full agenda can be found on the EROBENCH website (link). The talks focused on exoskeletons and wearable robotics will be mainly during the first day and include a wearable robots session centered around balance while using exoskeletons\, moving through narrow spaces\, measuring upper limbs involvement\, benchmarking exoskeleton-assisted gait\, navigating stairs\, and resilience (presumably of the wearable devices). Additional sessions will include human-robot interactions (which could include cobots and other non-wearable devices)\, regulations\, and performance. Both days will include a 2-hour lunch for networking\, for those attending the event in person. \nAbout EUROBENCH:\nThanks to the collaboration of the funded entities\, EUROBENCH has developed: \n\nTwo Testing Facilities\, one for wearable robots (located in the Hospital Los Madroños\, in Brunete\, Spain) and the other for humanoid robots (located in the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia\, in Genova\, Italy)\, to allow perform standardized tests on robotic prototypes in a unique location\, saving resources and time.\nA unified Benchmarking Software\, which includes: 1) common protocols to execute standardized tests in any lab setting\, 2) computational tools to compute performance scores according to quantitative Performance Indicators\, and 3) a unified database to compare the performance results with other systems.\n\nThis final event aims to bring together all the entities that have participated in the development of EUROBENCH. All companies and researchers in the field of robotics are also welcome! It is an essential meeting for robotics benchmarking in Europe. \nFor more information\, follow this link to the EUROBENCH Summit website. \n

SUMMARY:TechDay: Exoskeleton Design\, Control and Applications
DESCRIPTION:TechDay ExoBerlin has been rescheduled to October Tuesday\, 26\, 2021. The agenda includes a multitude of exoskeleton specialists from Canada\, the US\, the EU\, and Russia. \nThe organization behind ExoBerlin\, DEMACH Event\, is planning a TECH DAY online meeting titled: Exoskeleton Design\, Control\, and Applications. With ExoBerlin being pushed back by one year\, the introduction of an online events series to fill in the gap is a welcomed addition. For the latest information and registration visit the event’s website: https://techday.exo-berlin.de The organizers also have plans for a series of online technology days with topics including rehabilitation robotics and neural interface\, see more here:https://demach-events.de/index_human.html. \n“This TECH DAY online meeting will provide an up-to-date overview of latest trends and technology breakthroughs in wearable exoskeletons and ergonomics developed for industrial and medical applications. Exoskeleton manufacturers will demonstrate the features of their products and discuss the potential for improving safety\, efficiency and productivity. Engineers and developers will discuss the major design challenges on developing lighter and smarter exoskeleton devices\, and future research directions in structure design\, processing speeds\, sensors and materials.”

SUMMARY:Symposium: EXO-Ergo 2020
DESCRIPTION:Fondazione Ergo\, with the full support of EAWS Platform and One-MTM Network\, are organizing an action-packed EAWS International Symposium with an eye on industrial ergonomics and involvement in workplace design. This year will be the first edition\, titled EXO-Ergo 2020. The main focus of online event will be centered around “The future of exoskeletons in the manufacturing industry.” The two hour online event is scheduled for Nov 25th\, from 7:00 to 9:00 AM Pacific Time. The Exoskeleton Report covered a fraction of Fondazione Ergo’s involvement with exoskeletons in August: Fondazione Ergo Publishes Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet Using the MATE Exoskeleton \nEven though EXO-Ergo 2020 is planned to be about two hours long\, the schedule includes no less than eleven speakers. Talks will include automotive giants experienced with wearable technology Fiat Chrysler\, Volkswagen and General Motors\, certifications\, assessment\, adoption\, science and research to standards: \n\nEXO-Ergo Talks will present the state of the art of type\, field of application\, certification and workplace risk assessment of industrial exoskeleton. EAWS International Platform will chair a special session on the ESO-EAWS project.\nExperience Talks\, with the contribution by 3 global automotive makers being Fiat Chrysler Automobiles\, Volkswagen and General Motors\, will be very relevant to get a comprehensive picture of the current scenario and future expectations.\nSciences and Standards Talks will focus on research activities and standard projects.\n\nDownoad the full EXO-Ergo 2020 Symposium Program here. \nYou can register through eventbrite by follow this link.
