SUMMARY:EXOBerlin - Asia 2026
DESCRIPTION:ExoBerlin continues its series of exo-focused conferences\, with the 2026 edition scheduled for Guangzhou\, China\, Mar 10-12\, 2026. This time it will not be a stand-alone event like it has been in previous years\, but it will be part of RehabChina. \nThe Exoskeleton Report has never been to an ExoBerlin event personally\, but with the help of friends and supporters\, we still have some excellent coverage from prior years when it was held in Germany: previous coverage \nEvent name: EXOBerlin Asia Pavilion @ RehabChina 2026 \nParent event: RehabChina 2026 \nDates: March 10–12\, 2026 \nLocation: Guangzhou\, P.R. China \nType: Trade fair – international pavilion / B2B matchmaking \nOrganizer: EXO Berlin Forum (co-organizer for international participation) in collaboration with RehabChina organizers \nWebsites: https://rehabchina.online · https://exo-berlin.de \nThe EXOBerlin Asia Pavilion at RehabChina 2026 is a dedicated international pavilion designed to help exoskeleton\, rehabilitation robotics\, and assistive-tech companies establish business contacts in China and the wider Far East. Pavilion participants receive a 12 m² booth within the RehabChina exhibition\, support from local staff and professional interpreters\, structured matchmaking with potential partners\, and access to networking events. A grant scheme (up to 35\,000 EUR per participant\, max. 8 participants) can fully cover registration\, booth fees\, travel\, accommodation\, and exhibit transport\, making this a highly attractive entry point to the Chinese rehab and exoskeleton market.

SUMMARY:Augmented Humans 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Augmented Humans (AHs) International Conference is an ACM-affiliated research conference focused on physical\, cognitive\, and perceptual augmentation of humans through digital technologies. The series brings together human-machine interactions\, robotics\, wearable tech\, AI\, and neuroscience communities to explore how tools like exoskeletons\, brain–machine interfaces\, XR\, wearable and ubiquitous computing\, and assistive devices can extend human capabilities at the individual and societal level. Originating from the “augmenting human intellect” vision of Douglas Engelbart\, the conference now runs annually (most recently in Glasgow\, Melbourne\, and Abu Dhabi\, and in 2026 at OIST in Okinawa) with peer-reviewed proceedings published in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Digital Library. \nAugmented Humans is an exoskeleton-related event. From the current conference site and past years: \n\n\nThe 2024 and 2025 conference topic lists explicitly include \n“Exoskeletons and assistive devices for the amplification of human physical strength and physiological sensing.” \n\n\nThe 2026 call on augmented-humans.org lists a broader theme block that includes \n“Cyborgs\, Exoskeletons\, and Assistive Technologies” is one of the main topics. \n\n\nEarlier editions (e.g.\, 2021) also included “Exoskeletons and technologies for the amplification of human physical strength” in the topics list\, and past ACM Digital Library proceedings include exoskeleton papers.

SUMMARY:Fraunhofer IPA – Exo Experience Day (Technology Forum)
DESCRIPTION:Fraunhofer IPA is hosting another Exo Experience Day in Stuttgart. This is a hands-on “technology forum” designed for companies trying to understand how occupational exoskeletons differ\, how they work\, and what to consider when evaluating them for real production needs. Fraunhofer IPA positions itself as an experienced (ExoWorkAthlon) neutral institution\, and one of the world’s largest research institutes focused on exoskeleton development and evaluation. \nThe motivation is familiar to many manufacturing teams: skilled labor shortages\, an aging workforce\, retaining know-how\, reducing sick days\, and ongoing work strain even when restructuring is planned; all common reasons companies start researching exoskeletons\, only to discover a crowded landscape with many device types (supported body region\, active vs. passive vs. soft\, etc.). \nA key practical element is the Exoworkathlon® parcore\, where participants can test exoskeletons from different manufacturers in realistic application scenarios developed with industry\, and get a clearer picture of potential use cases. \nContents:\n\n\nOverview of exoskeletons via classification categories \n\n\nEvaluation methods to investigate effectiveness in work environments \n\n\nAcceptance factors \n\n\nHands-on testing of exoskeletons \n\n\nImplementation aids and guidelines \n\n\nOutlook on digital work design with exoskeletons \n\n\nThe event is led by Fraunhofer’s exoskeleton team\, including Verena Kopp and Urban Daub. \nTakeaways:\nParticipants leave with an overview of how exoskeletons function\, hands-on experience testing different models\, and a useful groundwork for selecting systems for their own company. \nNote: The official event page is in German\, so expect a German-first audience/format. \nWhen: \nMarch 17\, 2026 — 09:30 to 16:00 (CET) \nWhere:\nFraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation (IPA) \nNobelstraße 12\, 70569 Stuttgart\, Germany \nRooms: D5.18 + D5.19 \nRegistration + cancellation policy (for the listing)\nRegistration is handled via Fraunhofer IPA’s signup page. \nCancellations up to 10 days before the event incur a €100 fee; after that\, the full participation fee is due. \nTarget audience\nPlant managers\, occupational safety experts\, ergonomics experts\, innovation managers\, occupational medicine experts\, and anyone evaluating exoskeletons for production environments.
