SUMMARY:Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety & Health Conference GOSH 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety & Health Conference\, or GOSH 2025\, is not a conference dedicated explicitly to occupational exoskeletons. However\, at least one world-renowned expert will present on the topic on either March 4 or 5 (the schedule is to be finalized). The presentation is Realizing Potential: Drivers of Occupational Exoskeleton Adoption and ROI by Matthew Marino\, Owner of Prime Performance\, as well as Evolving Innovation. \nThe US North-West region has a dense network of small and medium-sized businesses\, employing thousands of employees who can benefit from new technologies to make work safer. This is the largest worker health conference for the region\, expecting 160 workshops\, 125+ booths\, and over 2k attendees. \nPricing:\n\nIn 2025\, Tuesday\, Wednesday\, and Thursday breakout sessions are $185 per day. Topics range from basic to advanced.\nIn 2025\, Pre-conference workshops (half-day) on Monday are $90 each.\n\nFor more information and registration\, visit: https://oregongosh.com/ \nStated Objectives:\n“The goal of the conference is to provide an educational forum where employers\, safety and health professionals\, safety committee members\, line supervisors\, manufacturers\, and distributors can come to gain state of the art knowledge and skills leading to self-sufficiency in their occupational safety and health programs. Attendees come from all industries and class topics cover a broad range of timely safety and health issues.”

SUMMARY:Fraunhofer IPA - Exo Experience Day
DESCRIPTION:Fraunhofer IPA will host its first Exo Experience Day. This will be an in-person event for twelve specialists looking to get a crash course on occupational exoskeletons: from selecting and evaluating to implementing and future outlook. Note that the event will most likely be in German. \nCompanies and employees can be drawn towards wearable devices with the promise of combating: \n\nshortage of skilled workers\naging workforce\nin-house skill retention\nlower number of missed days\nor as a supplement to already implemented job improvements\n\n“These are just a few of the reasons why manufacturing companies often come across the term “exoskeletons” in their research. However\, the research also shows that the world of exoskeletons is extremely diverse. The systems differ\, among other things\, according to the supported body regions and whether they are active\, passive or soft. Currently\, there are already more than 100 commercial systems on the market and each has its special features. For ‘beginners\,’ however\, it is incredibly difficult to get a good overview and find out what is important for their own requirements in the company.” \n“The Exo Experience Day is therefore an offer for all companies that want to deal with the question of how exoskeletons differ\, how they work and whether exoskeletons can offer adequate support in their production. The Fraunhofer IPA is one of the world’s largest research institutes in the development and evaluation of exoskeletons. Our experts will introduce you to the functional principles of different types of exoskeletons and give you tips for the right choice as a neutral institution. Test various exoskeletons from different manufacturers in our Exoworkathlon® course (realistic application scenarios developed with industry) and get an impression of the potential and fields of application of these technologies.” \nThe event is meant for: plant managers\, occupational safety\, ergonomics experts\, innovation managers\, or those with a focused on occupational medicine. \nFor more information\, location\, price and registration\, visit the Fraunhofer IPA event webpage. \n

SUMMARY:Applied Ergonomics Conference 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Applied Ergonomics Conference 2025\, or AppliedErgo2025 for short\, will be held from March 17 to 20\, 2025\, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando\, Florida. The 2024 edition included about half a dozen occupational exoskeleton producers and distributors\, and it is likely that this upcoming one will\, too. This is a general ergonomics meeting\, not a conference solely dedicated to exoskeletons and wearable robotics. \nThe conference also hosts the 2025 Ergo Cup® competition\, now open for entries. Sponsored by The Ergonomics Center of North Carolina and the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at NC State University\, this competition seeks trailblazers who want to showcase their innovative ideas and earn industry-wide recognition. Solutions must have been released in the last year to be considered. Submit your entry by November 3\, 2024.

SUMMARY:Exosuit Case Study Panel at ProMat
DESCRIPTION:HeroWear\, maker of the Apex and Apex 2 passive (elastic) back-assist exosuit\, is proud to present a large user-focused panel discussion at the upcoming ProMat. \nTitle: “Exosuit Case Study: Deploying exosuits to improve worker well-being and improve productivity” \nThis is an opportunity to hear directly from companies and organizations implementing occupational exoskeleton technology: \n\nAmerisure (Insurance)\nURM (Food Distribution)\nWhole Foods Market (Grocery)\nRoyal Australian Air Force (Military)\n\nIt is not often that organizations\, such as the ones listed above\, are willing to share their experience with adopting these new ergonomic solutions. This will be real-world data\, not lab studies or hypotheticals. For context\, the Royal Australian Air Force acquired more than 400 Apex suits in 2024\, and it will be fascinating to learn more about how their integration is going. Expect this session to provide valuable insights into how exosuits impact injury rates\, productivity\, and workforce well-being. \nIf you are not at ProMat or can’t attend the panel\, there is a possibility that it will be recorded and released to the public at a later time. \n

SUMMARY:Project March Design Presentation
DESCRIPTION:The student-empowered Project March X will hold a design presentation for its 10th annual iteration. This is a college student team initiative at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology) in the Netherlands. A new team develops and refines a robotic exoskeleton for walking assistance each academic year. The teams regularly compete in the Cybathlon Exoskeleton Race. \n“For the past five months\, we have worked incredibly hard on the design of our tenth exoskeleton. We will unveil this design on March 19th\, in the Aula of the TU Delft (Auditorium). Join us for this memorable milestone and discover how we’ll push the boundaries of exoskeleton technology once again.” \nTime: \nWed\, Mar 19\, 2025\, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Pacific Time) \nLocation: \nDelft\, Zuid-Holland\, NL \nTU Delft Aula Auditorium | Mekelweg 5\, 2628 CC Delft \nEvent link: \nhttps://eventix.shop/n733uwa7
