SUMMARY:IARx2022 First Ibero-American Symposium on Robotic Rehabilitation
DESCRIPTION:EXOesqueleto REHAB in collboration with LATAMNOVA.TECH\, is organizing the First Ibero-American Symposium on Robotic Rehabilitation from May 23-26\, 2022\, via streaming. The main objective of the symposium is to promote the use of healthcare robotics technology at a Latin American level. To achieve this\, the organizers have confirmed world-class experts such as Ángel-Gil Agudo (president of the Ibero-American Association of Supportive Technologies for Disability ) and Marie André Destarac (Dr. in Robotics and Project Manager of Marsi Bionics\, creators of the first exoskeleton for children in the world). \nIARx2022 will be a virtual Symposium that will take place over four half-days from May 23 to 26\, 2022 starting at 9:00 AM Chile time (GMT -3). There will be a different theme for each day (from healthcare robotics to local experiences)\, including at the end of each day a round table to exchange opinions (along with guests\, directors\, and persons of interest). IARx2022 is an opportunity to transfer positive experiences from Europe to Latam. The organizers see a delay in leveraging rehabilitation robotics in Latam in particular. The event aims to address the lack of technical knowledge and the perception of high or unattainable investment thresholds. The symposium will increase visibility and awareness of the new technological capabilities and gather vendors who develop innovation while fine-tuning the financial analysis related to investing in the top physical rehabilitation technology.
