SUMMARY:EXO-Evolution: Exoskeletons Put to the Test
DESCRIPTION:A Future Week Torino evening of talks\, hands-on exoskeleton testing\, and networking\, focused on wearable robotics for workplace ergonomics\, human augmentation\, industry\, logistics\, sport\, medicine\, and rehabilitation. \nCost: Free; registration required (https://exo-evolution.it/) \nLocation: Pangramma Coworking\, Via Vigone 62\, 10139 Turin\, Italy \nEXO-Evolution: Exoskeletons Put to the Test is an in-person Future Week Torino event dedicated to wearable robotics\, workplace ergonomics\, and human augmentation. Hosted at Pangramma Coworking in Turin\, the evening combines short expert talks\, a panel-style discussion\, a hands-on “Sandbox” test area\, and networking. \nThe program explores exoskeleton applications in industry\, logistics\, sport and performance\, medicine\, rehabilitation\, and workplace wellbeing. After the talks\, attendees will be invited to try selected exoskeletons under specialist supervision through simulated movements and tasks. The official program describes talks\, a field-test area\, and a networking aperitivo. \nDevices previewed on the event site include Hypershell X Go\, Proteso MOVI\, Vertex\, MATE XB\, and MATE XT-GO. \nAttendance is free\, but registration is required. Capacity is limited to 60 participants to allow safe hands-on testing of the hardware. \nSpeakers\n\nAndrea Piccinno — Mechatronics Design Coordinator @ Marelli Ride Dynamics; Founder & CEO @ Zeta Industries Srls\nStefano Toxiri — CEO & Co-founder\, Proteso\nBorislav “Bobby” Marinov — Owner of Exoskeleton Report\n\nDevices previewed\n\nHypershell X Go\nProteso MOVI\nZeta Industries Vertex\nCOMAU MATE XB\nCOMAU MATE XT-GO

SUMMARY:18th ASTM F48 Meeting at Committee Week
DESCRIPTION:ASTM Committee F48 on Exoskeletons is scheduled to have its 18th group meeting during ASTM Committee week in Jacksonville\, Florida. Committee subgroups meet regularly throughout the year\, and these events are an opportunity for the entire body to come together in its effort to produce consensus guides and standards. \nDates: Wednesday\, December 9\, 2026 – Thursday\, December 10\, 2026 \nLocation: \nHyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront\, 225 East Coastline Drive\, Jacksonville\, Florida 32202\, USA \nAbout: \nASTM Committee F48 on Exoskeletons and Exosuits was formed in 2017 to develop voluntary consensus standards for exoskeletons and exosuits across industrial\, emergency response\, medical\, and military applications\, and is now starting to look into consumer applications. The committee’s work spans safety\, quality\, performance\, ergonomics\, terminology\, and IT/security considerations across the full product life cycle for both passive and powered systems\, including those with physical or cognitive integration. This additional in-person December 2026 Committee Week meeting provides 2 days of intensive technical sessions to ballot new standards\, refine existing ones\, and coordinate with related committees\, under the staff management of Nora Nimmerichter. \nSubcommittees: \nF48 has six technical subcommittees responsible for developing and maintaining standards covering topics such as safety and human factors\, task-specific performance tests\, quality and reliability\, information technology and security aspects\, and terminology and classification. These groups typically meet in both parallel and joint sessions during Committee Week to progress ballots and new work items. \nDuration: \nCommittee F48 meets twice per year for 2–3 days of technical meetings\, typically in April and December; this Jacksonville session is the additional in-person December Committee Week meeting focused specifically on exoskeleton and exosuit standards development. \nMore Info & Registration: ASTM Committee F48 site (ASTM International – Committee F48 on Exoskeletons and Exosuits).
