ArmeoPower

The ArmeoPower is the first commercially available exoskeleton for combined arm and hand rehabilitation.  It is made by Hocoma, which is famous for its gait rehabilitation fixed frame exoskeleton, the Lokomat.

Description

The ArmeoPower is a shoulder-elbow rehabilitation robotics device which can be combined with Hocoma’s Manovo, an optional add-on for the hand.  Therefore depending on the combination, the ArmeoPower can be a shoulder-elbow or a shoulder-elbow-hand rehabilitation device.

The ArmeoPower is one of the word’s most advanced arm rehabilitation devices.  The device has been shown to lead to faster and better recovery after stroke compared to conventional therapy (Klamroth-Marganska et al., Lancet Neurology, 2014).

Hocoma has better documentation and technical explanations on the capabilities of their devices than any other exoskeleton manufacturer and we encourage you to visit their website.
